Meghalaya gets more rain than almost anywhere on earth. In monsoon the waterfalls are at full power, the forests are an impossible green and the clouds sit so low you drive through them. On this trip we fly together from Delhi to Guwahati, drive into the hills, spend four nights across Shillong and Cherrapunji, and cover the corners of Meghalaya that most tourists either rush through or miss entirely. A boat ride on a river so clear the boat appears to float in mid-air. A village that has been Asia’s cleanest for decades. Waterfalls that drop 340 metres off a plateau.
