Mountain House Party

Shangarh, Himachal Pradesh
3 Days / 2 Nights Shangarh, Himachal Pradesh Official Itinerary

About this tour

Shangarh is a hidden alpine meadow village at 8,500 ft in Sainj Valley — no cafes, no crowds, no tick-box tourism. Just old wooden houses, apple orchards, endless grasslands and silence that actually heals. This isn’t a trip with a packed schedule. It’s a house party in the mountains. We take over a cozy Himachali guesthouse for the weekend, cook together, play music, walk through meadows if you feel like it, and spend nights around a bonfire under a sky full of stars. BYOB friendly. All strangers welcome — most people come solo and leave with a group chat that stays alive for months. If you’re tired of regular tourism and just want good people, good music, mountain air and zero agenda — this is it. All strangers, friends and couples welcome.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of vibe is this trip? | Think house party relocated to the mountains. Chill people, good music, bonfire, minimal plans, maximum vibes. Not a "wake up at 6 AM for sunrise" kind of trip.
Is alcohol allowed? | Yes -- BYOB (bring your own booze). We don't provide it but can help you source beer or whisky locally in Aut town on the way. Drinking allowed responsibly at guesthouse and bonfire area. I'm coming solo -- will I feel left out? | Not at all. 70% of our guests are solo travellers. You'll share rooms with same-gender guests and most groups end up making real friends. That's literally the whole point. Is this suitable for couples? | Absolutely. Book twin sharing and it's a super peaceful, romantic mountain escape with a fun group vibe. Do we have to do the meadow walk? | Nope. It's optional. If you just wanna chill at the guesthouse, read, nap or talk -- completely fine. What if I don't drink? | Even better. The vibe isn't about alcohol -- it's about people, music, mountains and genuine connection. Bonfire and stargazing hit different here. How cold does it get? | Nights can drop to 5-10°C even in May-June. Days are pleasant at 15-20°C. Carry a warm jacket for sure. Is there phone network? | BSNL works on and off. Jio, Airtel, Vi -- mostly no signal. It's a digital detox whether you like it or not. Embrace it. What's the group demographic? | Mostly Gen Z and young millennials (20-32 age range). Solo travellers, creatives, people escaping regular life. Good energy, zero judgement. Can we play our own music? | 100%. Carry a speaker, make a playlist together, or bring a guitar. We also have a small music setup for the main bonfire night. How many people usually come solo? | Around 10-12 out of 15. It's very normal. You're in good company. Is Shangarh safe? | Super safe. It's a small village with local Himachali families. Very peaceful and welcoming community.
